Introductions & Homecoming

Although we had hoped to return home on Friday, we stayed until Saturday as there was concern that Josiah's bilirubin would need closer monitoring. Josiah was welcomed by family and friends while at the hospital. We arrived home on Saturday at noon to a very excited big sister and brother who showered Josiah with love immediately. Shari's dad and grandpa had driven down for the day so lots of introductions were made.

We were given a bili blanket to use for Josiah at home so he's been on his glow pad pretty much 100% of the time. His follow up labs have shown improvement so we may be able to say goodbye to the blanket in the next day or two and enjoy some easier cuddling. (11/10 update: Just received a call that his level was great yesterday so he is done with the bili blanket)

He is a picture of peace and has already shown himself to be a great eater, sleeper and a very content baby. The kids have been adjusting beautifully and Shari's mom has been with us for the week and her energetic spirit has been a blessing to all of us. May God be praised for His amazing blessing of Josiah to our family!
