Glimpses of God's Grace: Where do I start...?

Josiah will be 6 weeks this Thursday and wow, have those weeks flown! In that time we've made a weekend trip up to Michigan, had Shari's parents here to celebrate Thanksgiving, celebrated Christmas with Stephen's family, enjoyed a visit from Shari's sister and had our first snow of the season and all the joy to go with it. We are all doing great and Josiah continues to be a main attraction for Alivia & James. We've been having fun teaching the kids about Christmas and finding fun activities to do at home since the ideas of getting 3 kids in and out of car seats in the bitter cold isn't too appealing. We praise God for the easy transition of Josiah joining our family and he is one loved little boy. This morning Alivia asked me..."Mommy, can we go to the hospital and get another baby? We need to keep Josiah, but I think I need a baby all my own."

A special visit from Shari's cousin and aunt

We kept our Michigan visit a surprise from Shari's sister and showed up with Josiah at the play her husband was directing. As this was her first time meeting him, there wasn't a question about who was going to hold him during the play, but don't ask Aunt Brenda to tell you what the play was about.

We joined Shari's parents for a night enjoying the sights & sounds of Christmas in downtown Holland.

I love my new stocking, Aunt Brenda...thanks for all the time you invested in it! If Mommy didn't have me swaddled so tight, I could smile a little easier to show you how much I like it!

Shari's sister blessed us greatly with a 3-day visit and brought activities for the kids, hugs, joy and lots of love. She left us with memories that will be forever cherished!

The zoo had a special lights display that we braved the cold to see. With warm clothes and a mid-activity break to have some hot chocolate, the kids loved the outing and it was extra special having Aunt Brenda with us!
